"One of the best things about my role is that no two days are the same. I could be participating in community events, attending to facility matters and overseeing works, or providing support to the broader field and office teams."

Brad began his career as an apprentice in a gold mine and has since built a rewarding career spanning Australia - now in a leadership role at Hastings Deering in Rockhampton.

Driven by curiosity, community spirit and a passion for helping his team succeed, he reflects on how the resources sector has shaped his life and continues to power Queensland communities.

Based in Brisbane with global experience, she combines data, collaboration and problem-solving to plan for what’s next.

Matt is a Mining Manager at New Acland Coal – New Hope Group, and his story is all about opportunity and impact.

From guiding operations to mentoring teams, Matt thrives on making smart decisions that keep the mine running safely and efficiently. But his role isn’t just about production - it’s about people. New Acland Coal backs local schools, men’s sheds, and sporting clubs, and Matt loves seeing that support make a real difference.
